Hiring Range: $50 to $70 per hour

• Engage and motivate adult learners, ensuring a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Serve as a role model and advocate for student success.
• Maintain accurate student participation and performance records.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to implement and enhance curriculum.
• Responding in a timely manner to student and faculty inquiries.
• Report incidents
• Engage in professional development activities and clinical facility onboarding requirements.
• Maintain current professional competence, certifications, and licensure.
• Hold one office hour a week while teaching.
• Participate in the pinning ceremony

• Current unencumbered Virginia licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Experience using Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Outlook) and ability to utilize current classroom technology
• Must have the ability to provide student instruction in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
• Annual submission of professional development, CEU’s and competence required

• Must hold a current, unrestricted Virginia license or a multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Must have two years of experience in direct patient care as a registered nurse
• Must be in good standing at local hospitals in the DMV

• Experience teaching in the field of Nursing.
• Previous experience in the community college setting
• Previous experience with CANVAS LMS, Trajecsys, and ATI.
