Purchasing Specialist

Serve as lead procurement specialist for Facilities (FM) and primary point of contact for FM Vendors and Accounts Payable, with frequent communication with internal and external constituents. Responsible for purchasing a wide variety of goods/services for over 25+ budgets, work with Procurement in identifying correct instrument to purchase and meet deadlines (PO, Blanket, IFB, Quotes, SWaM, etc.), provide guidance to shop foreman in obtaining critical goods/services in timely manner, accountable for timely invoicing for both internal and external constituents, address vendor invoice issues that are not compliant with contract, responsible for FM procurement records, analyze data in various databases to resolve issues that arise in the procurement process. Follow state guidelines, review and maintain credit card records, and resolve any discrepancies or problems prior to submission. Analyze budget shortfalls for procurement needs, make recommendations in obtaining funds to resolve shortfalls. Analyze complex contracts and billing issues to resolve problems, make decisions in approving payments to vendors. Be able to function in a high-volume fast fast-paced environment with multiple demands on skills/knowledge.
