The UVA Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time Residency Program Coordinator (RPC) to join the Department’s Medical Education Team. The successful applicant will coordinate day-to-day operations of the program and serve as an important liaison with Program Directors, trainees, Department leadership, education team members, School of Medicine, GME, the ACGME, American Board of Anesthesiology, and faculty. In addition, the RPC will participate as an integral member of the Education Team and provide support that is critical to the success of all our education programs.
The successful applicant will become the primary support of the department’s residency program. Other education staff will support with various responsibilities and management of the program. The RPC will assist program directors in day-to-day operations, support training needs of the resident physicians, and submit information for compliance and accreditation requirements. In addition, the RPC will be knowledgeable of institutional GME and ACGME program requirements, policies, and procedures.Other major responsibilities include coordinating the annual recruitment process in compliance with NRMP, coordinating educational conferences, journal clubs, and review sessions, preparing faculty and resident evaluation reports, coordinating educational retreats, coordinating the onboarding and offboarding process, maintaining records and files for every trainee, training verifications, and performing administrative activities for programs using the New Innovations system (such as scheduling of rotations, overseeing duty hours, and coordinating evaluations).
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Two years of administrative support experience, bachelor's degree may substitute for experience
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with managing Social Media Platforms, especially on Instagram and Twitters
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Promote a positive work environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be detail oriented to complete work accurately and efficiently

This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. This is a Non-Exempt level, benefited position.
