Job Description:
Virginia Highlands Community College serves our community by providing quality and affordable education, training, and cultural activities through an array of flexible, diverse programs that enable community members to succeed today and in the future.

  • Daily set-up of classrooms and instructional spaces
  • Maintain daily student attendance logs ensuring a high level of accuracy
  • Gather and distribute snacks and instructional supplies
  • Create and print certificates to celebrate student achievements
  • Serve as instructional aid inside the classrooms
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Photograph student activities and upload to electronic file
  • Other duties as required

This is a grant funded, temporary position for Summer 2026. This is not a remote position.
Position will end July 19, 2026.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • The position would require a high school diploma
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office

Additional Considerations:

  • Previous experience in working in Upward Bound
  • Completed college coursework in education, social work, human services, or psychology
