VCUarts Summer Pre-College 2025 Teaching Assistant

Summary:

The Virginia Commonwealth University, School of the Arts (VCUarts) seeks teaching assistants to teach in the Summer Pre-College Program for High School Students: July 6 - 25, 2025. Training and orientation equivalent to four hours will be required of the candidate prior to the start of the program.

Responsibilities Include:

- Complete required youth training
- Assist the Instructor by setting-up classroom space and project materials
- Provide students with technical and conceptual development on projects
- Participate in the critique process
- Chaperone students while in buildings and escort students to facilities when needed
- Ensure quality and effectiveness of the Summer Pre-College Program
- Enforce Program policies and procedures at all times
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director or course Instructor
