Description for Candidates:

  • Perform quality repairs, modifications and fabrications on equipment, machinery, structures and high pressure vessels using advanced welding techniques.

    How you will contribute:
  • Recordkeeping: Locate parts and materials. Provide repair estimates. Maintain accurate records of completed work.
  • Repairs and Modifications: Weld and accurately cut metal to repair a variety of equipment. Perform precise modifications to various equipment as required to adapt equipment for special accessories.
  • Welding: Perform certified welding on equipment, bridges, ferryboats, existing buildings and new construction and framework and high-pressure vessels. Ensure welds meet certification standards.

  • Ability to fabricate components to meet required specifications.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Ability to perform welding on equipment and structures such as bridges, buildings or high-pressure vessels using advanced welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Ability to safely weld in an overhead position.
  • Knowledge of AC, DC and arc electric welding techniques.
  • Knowledge of various materials, equipment, metallurgical properties and structural principles.
  • Skill in providing good customer service.
  • Skill in the operation of a variety of welding tools and equipment such as MIG, TIG, electronic and carbon arc, oxyacetylene torch, plasma torch, wire, stick and other welding equipment.

    • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to fabricate components, as needed, to meet required specifications.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Ability to perform welding on equipment and structures such as bridges, buildings or high-pressure vessels using advanced welding techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to read, interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Ability to safely weld in an overhead position.
  • Knowledge of AC, DC, and arc electric welding techniques.
  • Knowledge of various materials, equipment, metallurgical properties and structural principles.
  • Skill in providing good customer service.

  • Valid driver's license.

    • Additional Considerations:
  • A combination of training, experience, or education in Welding, or related field desired.
