Job Duties

Provides administrative support to the Academy Business Office. This position data enters procurement actions and assists with vendor selection in accordance with state procurement regulations. This position handles a wide variety of data gathering tasks and produces complex reports and correspondence. This position assists the ASD Business Manager in the review and maintenance of financial documents and reporting in accordance with policies, procedures and laws governing state procurement activities.

This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of procurement and accounting principles and practices. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office software and Outlook. Experience in working with numerical data, and making arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately.

Additional Considerations

Advanced knowledge of Procurement and Virginia Department of Accounts (VADOA) accounting principles and practices. Experience working with state and agency fiscal polices and procurement practices.
