    Internal Traveler positions are:


  • Non-benefitted position


  • compensated competitively with other traveler positions; hourly flat rate - no differentials or incentive pay


  • available in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities, and


  • are offered in 13-week blocks, which may be renewed up to a maximum of 39 weeks.


  • One-time $2,500.00 incentive pay with first 13 week assignment.

Position Compensation Range: - Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: Minimum of one year RN experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Post-transplant care skills Preferred

If no post-transplant skills, must have complex medical-surgical skills

Progressive care skills and experience

Complex hazardous IV and medication administration

Post-surgical care skills and experience

Surgical wound and drain care and management

Patient education experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
